Iron Dogs Palin and Davis Off!

Four-Time Iron Dog Champion and Seven-Time Winner Todd Palin today began his 2,000+ mile Iron Dog Race at Big Lake, Alaska along with his partner Scott Davis. The duo constitute Team 11 and were off at 1529 / 3:29 PM EST. The Iron Dog takes racers through some of the most dangerous and inhospitable terrain on the planet at speeds reaching over 100 mph and in temperatures that can dip to -70F. Todd Palin's wins did not come easy. His partner, Scott Davis was injured in the 2010 race and the team scratched. Palin field-repaired his snow machine last year some 35 miles shy of the finish line. Even with the time lost on repairs, the Palin-Quam Team were Second Place Winners.

AGU: HELP WANTED; Grizzly Delegates for Tampa

Introduction written by American Grizzlies United (AGU) Board Member R. F. Lawrence

We’ve been hearing the buzz for weeks on the possibility of a contested convention - one in which no candidate arrives in Tampa with the required majority of delegates to claim the nomination. Regardless of whether the GOP actually arrives at a contested convention or not, it would behoove us all to have a convention attended largely by delegates of ethical standards and a loyalty to the interests of the people of their state, not staffed by ambitious party loyalists and insiders whose main goal may be simply to further their career. It is therefore imperative that we all properly educate ourselves about the rules regarding the convention, the selection of the GOP nominee, and the election of the delegates to the convention.

The simple answer to the question of how to become a delegate to the national convention is that there is no simple answer. The process varies by state, and even within each state, the process may vary by county. How each county selects the representatives to the district convention is managed by the county leadership. Information about how your precinct and county will be represented should be available from your local GOP county website. If you do a search online on “How to become a delegate,” you will doubtless find some tutorials, instructions, and links to various state pages. Ron Paul’s supporters have been extremely organized and proactive about researching and disseminating this information online. Check the sources and the dates for any information you read online. The best resource is your county GOP – they ultimately make the rules.

Although the deadlines to be nominated up the delegate ladder may have passed in many states, there’s still plenty of time to get involved in others. Usually, the delegate selection process is not started until after a state holds its primary.

Whatever happens at the convention, we need to make sure that we send good people as delegates.

AGU: HELP WANTED; Grizzly Delegates for Tampa!

Because the individual rules for selecting delegates vary by state (and even within each state, the process can vary by county) you are going to have to do your own homework.

Delegates are chosen at the various levels of the party conventions. The selection process begins at the precinct (or district) level, then marches on to the county level, and lastly the state level; where the national convention delegates are selected.

Here are some resources that will help you become a Grizzly Delegate for your state:

Sarah Palin Radio: Obama's Cousin Opposes ObamaCare, Supports Palin

Sarah Palin Radio

Dr. Milton Wolf, cousin of our current sitting President is a Tea Partier, stands adamantly opposed to ObamaCare, and is a supporter of Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin he said in an interview with LaDonna Hale Curzon, Executive Producer, and Host of Sarah Palin Radio. Dr. Wolf praised Gov. Palin's CPAC speech, saying "she's just incredible, isn't she? I think the short version of her speech was 'I'm still here," and the short version of the audience's response was 'why aren't you running?'" He said "Gov. Palin understands that this is about the heart and soul of the Republican Party....either we're going to turn ourselves into Democrat Lite...or the party of Constitutional conservatism...there are some patriots who have paid a very dear price, including Gov. Palin herself."

His columns in The Washington Times and his book "First Do No Harm" have praised Gov. Palin as well, saying among other things that she "has good taste in picking personnel" to work for her. In his columns, Obama's cousin wrote, "Gov. Pain gets what this is all about: The GOP establishment versus the grassroots Tea Party."

In this interview, Dr. Wolf said he is the only Tea Partier Obama has actually met. "The US will be on life support if Obama is re-elected," Dr. Wolf said about his cousin. "To beat Obama, we need to bypass the media and go elsewhere like SarahPalinRadio and social media," he said. About Romney, whose brainchild RomneyCare was the precursor to ObamaCare, Dr. Wolf said he "speaks better French than he does conservative." But, Dr. Wolf also said that "Romney does have a basic understanding of free markets. He just does not articulate it very well."

Dr. Wolf echoed Gov. Palin's oft-stated position that any of the four candidates would be a better President than Obama. "We need to make it politically popular for people to stand up for liberty," he said "even if Obama is re-elected." He eschewed RINOs who "go along to get along." He also said "no elected official should be given a blank check to grow the federal government."

Dr. Wolf espouses the Milton Friedman principle and said if it is profitable for a politician to move to the right, he or she will do so - even if he or she is a leftist. The key, according to Dr. Wolf, therefore, is to create the conditions that make right-ward movement profitable.

Here they go again...

[ad#u4p-post-top-left]

"I haven't seen HBO's latest effort at manipulating history. However, based upon the description and reports from people who have viewed the film Game Change, HBO has distorted, twisted and invented facts to create a false narrative and attract viewers. They call it a docu-drama, there is little "docu" in it. HBO must add a disclaimer that this movie is fiction." -Tim Crawford, Treasurer SarahPAC

Pay channel HBO has produced another docudrama based on the political arena. This time it is a subscription-only television movie sensationalizing 40 pages of a three-year-old book about the 2008 presidential election. The real 2008 Election was an incredible, moving experience that brought together the nation to celebrate our democracy. HBO has taken that experience and twisted it into tabloid drama for its own profit.

The docudrama Game Change has not been released, but the content and clips available and scenes as reported by the media make it clear that HBO studio heads decided they would generate more profit by inventing facts and scenes for the purpose of fictionalizing a history written by people with no personal knowledge of the situations they attempt to depict.

After viewing the Game Change trailers purporting to show actual events from the campaign, we sifted through over 2,000 behind-the-scenes photos of actual events, people and moments.

Below is an inside look at those moments which were captured from September to November 2008 and encompass over 95 rallies in 19 states, three major policy speeches, numerous town halls, four meetings with Blue Star Moms, two hockey games and as many unscheduled stops as we were able to fit in the schedule.

This is the Game Change you can believe in, because it actually happened.

Gov Palin on TMZ: Knicks' Lin an American Story

Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin is an American story, an underdog who achieved so much, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin yesterday said in an interview she gave to TMZ on the streets of Manhattan while holding a "Linsanity" tee shirt. Gov. Palin herself was a starting point guard for the Wasilla Warriors and on March 15, 1983 brought her team to victory despite a broken ankle. Gov. Palin has been on a whirlwind Fox News talk show circuit in New York City.

Gov. Palin Talks Energy Independence, Free Markets on Fox Radio

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin tonight discussed energy independence, free markets, small government, and the GOP race in a video recorded interview with Tom Sullivan on Fox News Radio in his New York City studio.

Gov. Palin said energy independence consists of developing and using our God-given conventional resources, alternative sources, and conservation. She said leftist attempts to dump conventional sources immediately are premised upon unrealistic utopian thinking. Gov. Palin said Americans must regain their independence and exceptionalism by reducing the size of government and not relying on government. Finally, Gov. Palin reiterated her oft-stated position that the "candidates must articulate solutions and stop beating each other up." Gov. Palin said she wants the competition to keep going and "I shall endorse the GOP nominee."

Gov. Palin on Asman: Candidates Must Step Up Game to Beat Obama

The four declared candidates must step up their game and articulate solutions to our national problems if voters are to determine which one to coalesce around, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin tonight said on Fox Business' Power and Money with David Asman. Gov. Palin is still in New York City and this interview was conducted in the NY studio. She spoke at length about fighting the establishment - those who want to maintain the status quo - and winning.

She said many voters perceive Romney as not being conservative because of his prior record. Gov. Palin said that Romney should admit that RomneyCare - his brainchild - was a mistake that he should not have foisted upon the citizens of Massachusetts. But, Gov. Palin said none of the candidates are breaking the 30% hump.

Gov Palin on Bolling: Would Answer Brokered Convention Summons

Though she is "thankful to be able to make a difference without a title and without being shackled to an office," Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin tonight said on Eric Bolling's final show on Fox Business that if the GOP primary/caucus season ended in a brokered convention and she were summoned to serve, she would answer the call. Gov. Palin, however, reaffirmed her oft-stated positions that "any of the candidates are better than Obama" and "all of them have their strengths." In her interview with The Five, Gov. Palin had said that if Romney were the nominee, she would support him, reaffirming prior statements that she would support whoever the GOP nominee was. She noted that if the primaries were ending now the outcome would be a brokered convention because of the lack of enthusiasm for any one individual.

Gov. Palin said that this election would be about "big government versus freedom-loving Americans. This is not a partisan issue or about race, or demographics," she said in response to Bolling's question about young kids in CPAC standing on chairs just to get a glimpse at her. "These kids understand they are equipped to make the right decisions."

In one of her most inspiring sentences, Gov. Palin said, "every ordinary individual is equipped to do extraordinary things."

When asked about how she maintains her perspective in the face of her enemies' smear attacks, Gov. Palin said, "Politically, it's easy to keep things in perspective. I know how the game is played. Liberals can't beat me on the issues, so they try to destroy your reputation and thrash your family." Gov. Palin said she can deal with it when it's done to her, but does not like seeing it done to other people. Personally, she referred to Isaiah 8:12-13, which essentially says, "get the chip off your shoulder and forget the conspiracy theory about life being against you. Life is too short to be bummed out."

Gov. Palin said that "getting to shake hands with those who made the extra effort to be at her speech" was her "favorite part."

"We are all in this together. We want government to work for us, not against us and get off our backs. The government does not trust us with our health care, light bulbs, or gas mileage," she said.

Gov. Palin recounted briefly her last four years which have been full - from the moment she got Senator McCain's call at the Alaska State Fair, to packing an overnight bag to answer the call to be his Vice President, her return to Alaska and resignation from office. "I am still an Alaskan and still advocating for energy independence and responsible development. I still live there."

She noted that candidate Obama and President Obama are the same person and he is in fact delivering the socialism and fundamental transformation he promised. Voters were "schnookered" by him she said.

Gov. Palin debuted on Bolling's show in October 2010. He said he was honored to have Gov. Palin as his final guest. Gov. Palin is New York City and has been on a whirlwind circuit of Fox shows today including Fox and Friends, America's News Headquarters, The Five, and this show.

The AGU/O4P/NY4P/US for Palin 1080p Full HD video is embedded below prior to the fund-raising email and is not approved or promoted by SarahPAC. SarahPAC Supporter, Friends across America are teeming with praise for Governor Palin’s closing speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). The audience of thousands jumped to their feet over and over, cheering on her commonsense conservatism. Michael Medved of the Daily Beast wrote: Sarah Palin won CPAC’s heart—electrifying the Conservative Political Action Conference with one of the most rousing and effective political speeches of recent years. And Matt Negrin of ABC likened the energy and cheers to that of a packed concert: A dozen times the conservatives at the conference leaped to their feet to applaud Palin, as she threw them line after line about beating President Obama and reclaiming ‘traditional values.’ This momentum continues to grow as SarahPAC’s grassroots movement glows brighter every day, despite Washington actions that cast a heavy shadow on the lives of hardworking Americans. Bloated bureaucracy stifles American innovation with tight regulations, never questioning the federal government’s size or control. Governor Palin offers an alternative -- instead of calling Washington a swamp, let’s call it a wetland so that it will be protected from more government encroachment. Join Governor Palin as she leads the fight against the growing shadow of Washington! Watch her speech at CPAC and support SarahPAC today, and in honor of conservative action and activists, we are sending out complimentary signed copies of Governor Palin’s movie, The Undefeated, with donations of $100 or more. State of Daniel: Palin the Brightest Star in GOP

While crowd excitement is not a scientific measurement, it provides telling anecdotal and circumstantial evidence of support for a candidate, Daniel Chioco said in a video blog he posted at State of Daniel. "Crowd cheer is a good barometer of excitement...and excitement is crucial to voter turnout, which in turn is crucial to winning elections" Chioco said. The cheers for Romney the current front-runner came nowhere close to those for Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Chioco cited a CBS poll which stated that 58% of Republicans want more Presidential choices. "Whether you like Palin or not, you can't deny that she can enthuse and rouse a crowd like no other....this speech proves that Palin is the brightest star in the GOP." Chioco went on to say that "this speech keeps Gov. Palin in the race" and that "the chances of a brokered convention are increasing." He said "Romney has been running since 2008 and if all this time and money cannot easily get him a majority vote, that's sad!" He noted that the GOP can't coalesce around any of the remaining candidates. Certainly the math surrounding popular vote and delegate counts support Chioco's assertion. "Palin has proven that she is the only one in the GOP who can unite all the factions despite all their differences."

Professor Dershowitz Is Right About Media Matters

Governor Palin today posted on Facebook:

Harvard University Professor Alan Dershowitz is one of the most knowledgeable and unapologetic defenders of Israel among American academics. This has unfortunately opened him to unfair and intellectually dishonest attacks from his fellow liberals.

In answering a recent attack by Max Blumenthal, formerly of Media Matters for America (MMfA), Prof. Dershowitz said, “Let me tell you, Max Blumenthal and Media Matters will be singlehandedly responsible for (Obama) losing this election. They (the Democrats) cannot win the election and keep this affiliation with them.”

I agree with Prof. Dershowitz, though obviously I think there are many, many more reasons why President Obama should lose this election (trillions, if you consider his latest budget proposal).

Prof. Dershowitz is right to draw attention to MMfA in particular. As Big Journalism points out: “Media Matters has been condemned by the Simon Wiesenthal Center for their continued use of an antisemitic slur; their own allies have even thrown them under the bus for antisemitism.”

This just shows that Americans of all political stripes are awakened to the dangers of unethical journalists and media organizations that deceive their audiences and use bullying tactics to unfairly target political opponents.

Gov Palin's Closing Keynote at CPAC 2012 Sights and Sounds

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin delivered a powerful closing keynote speech at CPAC last Saturday, concluded by her spending nearly 30 minutes with her supporters on a rope line. Gov. Palin called upon Republicans to unite behind whoever the GOP nominee is so Obama can be defeated in 2012 as captured in this 1080p Full HD video and spread of 50 photos. US for Palin and syndicates will publish the complete text transcript of her speech if and when it is released.

Adrienne Ross and Mark America provided comprehensive reportage and analysis on the speech. Gov. Palin also accepted the Clare Booth Luce Policy Institute's 2012 Woman of the Year Award two hours prior during a luncheon that was closed to the media. Gov. Palin was seen entering the hotel prior to the luncheon. Between the luncheon and her main speech, Gov. Palin gave an interview in which she expressed that a brokered convention would not be a bad outcome for the GOP primary and caucus process. Following her speech, Gov. Palin celebrated her 48th birthday at Matisse Cafe / Restaurant.

My special moment with Gov. Palin came at 1723 / 5:23 PM EST a few minutes after she started working the rope line. I also had a brief moment with Bristol and Willow immediately thereafter. I had met Bristol and her co-author Nancy French at their Dupont Circle book signing earlier that day.
