Gov Palin to Deliver Message of Hope at PowerUp Idaho

The organizers of PowerUP Live say that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will be delivering a speech titled, "Inspiring Lives: A Message of Resilience and Hope" at their event to be held in the Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho on October 17. Conservatives4Palin which broke the story to the Palin blogopshere said that her attendance is unconfirmed. The Idaho Statesman was C4P's source.

Ticket prices range from $29 to $2,500. The $1,000 ticket includes a photo with Gov. Palin. Top tier tickets provide access to Gov. Palin, Rudy Giuliani, and Steve Forbes. The organizer recommends business casual attire.

In describing Gov. Palin's speech, the organizer wrote:

Capturing the hearts and minds of millions of Americans as the 2008 Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin continues to use her voice to inspire and connect with others from all walks of life. Holding steadfast to her convictions while in the midst of personal and professional challenges—including her landmark political career—Palin lets her values be her compass as she navigates her role on the global stage with grace. The many roles she has embraced in her life—devoted wife, military mom, public servant and champion for children with special needs—have given her a far-reaching perspective into the struggles we all face. Meeting with people from around the world since coming onto the national stage in 2008 has further enriched her life and given her a unique vantage point from which she shares the importance of looking for the best in everyone. Attracting record-breaking crowds, Palin’s inspirational message of resilience and hope, combined with her warm personality, will touch the spirit of each audience member and remind them that the best possible life is never out of reach.

SarahPalinUSA: Last night wrapped up a convention that was very encouraging...

Governor Palin today Tweeted:

SarahPalinUSA: Last night wrapped up a convention that was very encouraging; so, thank you to all who worked hard to provide... http://t.co/B80HyRRm

The foregoing URL leads to a Facebook Status which is reprinted in its entirety here:

20120831-141647.jpg

Last night wrapped up a convention that was very encouraging; so, thank you to all who worked hard to provide needed inspiration while focusing on the U.S. economy. And for all the great speeches we heard at the convention this week and those we’ll hear next week, I sincerely hope we as Americans, despite our political disagreements, will respectfully remember our brave men and women in uniform – for they are still in harm’s way so that we can sleep in peace. Our troops in Afghanistan have suffered terrible casualties this year. We don’t hear much about this lately. You never hear our troops complain though, even when it seems like some of us safely back home enjoying the freedoms they protect too easily forget their sacrifices. But the moms wearing blue and gold stars remember. The wives and husbands raising kids alone while their spouse is in a war zone remember. The kids whose mom and dad can’t be there for birthdays and school plays and skinned knees and graduations remember. Every American who loves freedom should remember.

To our U.S. troops over there, please know that we remember your sacrifice. We support and honor you, and we pray for your safe and speedy return home where you are loved and belong.

Where Were You When...Four Years On...The Magic Lives

Four years ago today at 12:26 EDT, "the world shook, the world trembled," as John McCain made history by introducing the first Republican woman to run for Vice President. While Republicans generally - and rightfully so - shun identity politics, the announcement was the smashing of hard and thick glass ceiling. You can see it in the shock and joy of a woman in the stands as John McCain said, "mother..." That one word - "mother" - is what told the world this was no ordinary ticket. The game had changed forever.

Unknown except to her own circle and some of the conservative cognoscente, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's announcement made her an immediate international household name. During her speech and for at least an hour thereafter, the entire Internet was inaccessible in many locations as the world surfed to the City of Wasilla website and to the Alaska Governor's Website to learn everything they could about her. Yes, even the Internet succumbed to Gov. Palin's sonic booms which rumbled around the entire planet. The world learned and was fascinated that this woman was no stranger to doing things that were heretofore considered for "men only." She was one of the first women to be a professional sportscaster. She took on jobs that men twice her size could not do. She hauled in thousands of pounds of salmon with a freshly broken hand. In politics, she took on the establishments of both parties - and big oil - and won.

Gov. Palin divided our calendars and changed our lives from the moment her name was uttered that summer afternoon. You can read my story, but mine is only one of millions. The NY Post's headline the following day was only one word, but the one word which captured the extraordinary nature of the announcement.

Those who heard Gov. Palin heard Ronald Reagan's successor - in a woman's body. None other than Michael Reagan would say so following Gov. Palin's convention speech on September 3, 2008. Virtually all Palinistas interpreted Gov. Palin's carrying of his torch as being the 2008 ticket winning - and when that did not work out - Palin 2012. Though she did not run, Gov. Palin carries Reagan's torch by executing a wish he made some 37 years ago. In 1975, the former President - at the time former governor Reagan - said, "Let's have a new first party - a Republican Party - raising a banner of bold colors - no pale pastels - a banner instantly recognizable as standing for certain values which will not be compromised." By her 2010 endorsements and now her 2012 endorsements, Gov. Palin is building that new first party with or without its existing establishment. Her endorsed candidates are raising that banner of bold colors.

In this RNC video made in 2008, the narrator said at 3:28, "Sarah Palin may not be 6 feet tall, but she is a self-made giant in making government work for us." In 2010, Gov. Palin endorsed 81 candidates with an overall endorsement success rate of 68%. Her success rate on a special subset, "Take Back the 20" was 90%, since 18 out of her 20 endorsements went on to win their elections. Gov. Palin has endorsed 14 candidates in 2012 thus far with nine primary elections held. You can see her most current success rate in the Master List of Governor Palin’s 2012 Accomplishments. She held 100% for the first six candidates she had endorsed, a record probably never achieved by anyone from either party. All her candidates were chosen specifically to make government work for us. Gov. Palin four years later is even more of a self-made giant in making government work for us.

At 3:45 in the video, the narrator concluded, "when Alaska's maverick joined America's maverick, the world shook; the world trembled, and the world will soon be a better place." Though Gov. Palin's ticket did not win, the world has become a better place since she rose to national prominence. She leveraged Facebook and Twitter to bring the health care debate, quantitative easing, energy independence, and economic policy issues to the fore. Gov. Palin touched lives outside of politics too. She conducted humanitarian missions in cholera- and earthquake-wracked Haiti and in Alabama following devastating tornadoes. She has raised over $120,000 for wounded soldiers, walked for autism, and the March of Dimes, among others. During her final seven months as Governor, Sarah Palin coordinated and led an airlift to distressed villages in remote western Alaska, sacrificing the political primping and priming, champagne and caviar of the 2009 CPAC conference. The little children to whom she personally distributed supplies were far more important than the Washington DC elites. In these and many more ways, Gov. Palin made the world a better place.

For those Palinistas whose journey began four years ago today, we are no longer rookies and are now veterans in this business. That does not mean the learning stops - quite the contrary - but more is expected of us as veterans. Being a veteran in anything can sometimes lead to being jaded. But, wherever Gov. Palin leads - even when the waters are uncharted and no matter how much time has passed - the magic of this day forever lives in each of us.

Happy 24th Wedding Anniversary Todd and Gov Sarah Palin

This day 24 years ago, Todd Palin married his high school sweetheart, young Sarah Heath. Their 24-year union has brought five children and two grandchildren, and has provided those who are willing to watch and learn with a model of how marriages should work. The Palins' marriage is founded on respect, love, team work, and support, as is the marriage of the Heaths. In an era where appliance warranties often outlast the marriage, the Palins offer a rare positive role model to look up to and emulate.

Not too well known, but two days before their marriage, another woman - the sea - almost killed Todd Palin. This was likely the impetus that drove them to expedite their marriage.

The staff of US for Palin wish the Palins many more years of happiness and fulfillment.

Todd Palin Rapid Detonates His Path to Third Stripe on Stars Earn Stripes

Todd Palin arrived to the landing zone in the back of a pickup truck. His teammates were assigned to take out the first set of land mines and a power transformer, at which point he swung into action. Palin tossed a smoke grenade to provide cover as his squad ran to a desert patrol vehicle that was delivered by helicopter sling load. Palin and his teammates undid the cables, then drove the vehicle to the next objective. A Humvee - to which a Browning M2 .50 caliber machine gun was mounted - accompanied the desert patrol vehicle. Upon arrival Palin took out the next four targets using a Beretta M9 9mm Parabellum pistol, to cheers of "holy cow!" from the next squad observing in the surveillance tent. His special op, J.W. Cortes took out the remaining targets with his SCAR 16. Palin then got atop the Humvee and took out two bunkers with the M2. The squad then abandoned both vehicles and ran toward the helicopter to extract them to safety.

Contestant Picabo Street said, "if I have to go against Todd in a shootout, it's going to suck! He rises to the intensity and the more intense it gets, the more stealthy he gets." But, Street was spared Palin's stealthiness and marksmanship skills. Laila Ali and Nick Lachey went to the elimination round, resulting in Ali being sent home. Palin's squad went on to earn their their third stripe worth $10,000 for Armed Services YMCA Alaska.

The sequence featuring Palin begins at 18:33 and ends at 24:22. Street's statement about facing Palin in an elimination round starts at 31:45 and ends at 31:54.

Browning M2 .50 Caliber Heavy Machine Gun ("Ma Deuce")

Invented by John Moses Browning, who is also known for the M1911, Browning Hi-Power, and BAR, the M2 is a crew-operated .50 BMG recoil-operated, belt-fed heavy machine gun. Its cyclic rate is approximately 550 rounds per minute. It weighs 84 pounds and the M3 tripod adds another 44 pounds. The M2 has served through both World Wars, Korea, VietNam, the Gulf War and Desert Storm. It can be mounted to aircraft, trucks and the M-1 Abrams tank.

Being a machine gun, the M2 is regulated under the National Firearms Act of 1934. Civilians can legally own it or any other fully automatic weapon if they submit to an extensive background check; pay a transfer tax to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; and their home state or municipality has not banned full-autos. The M2's weight, cost to acquire and cost to shoot are prohibitive to all but the wealthiest of collectors, but one always makes an appearance at well-known machine gun shoots nationwide.

Defense Industry Daily provides more information on "Ma Deuce."

Beretta M9/M92 9mm Pistol

The Beretta M9 replaced the M1911 over 25 years ago, a move that was controversial at the time - and still is in many circles. The M9 fires 9mm Parabellum and the M1911 which had served our soldiers for 75 years is chambered in the more powerful .45 ACP. The M9 holds 15 rounds in its magazine compared to the M1911's seven. Today, Para-Ordnance makes a 14-round M1911. It is 1/8" wider in the butt. The M1911 is made in the USA by Colt, Springfield Armory, Kimber, and others. Beretta is from Italy, so many at the time objected to our sourcing our weapons to foreign manufacturers. The 9mm was chosen to comply with NATO standards.

Like most 9mm pistols, the M9 is double-action on the first shot, single on subsequent shots. This results in a heavy trigger pull on the first shot; something Todd Palin and all the other celebrity contestants had an issue with. Todd is used to long guns and does not work with pistols much, however, he learned fast and became deadly with the M9 in no time. The M1911 in contrast is single action with thumb and grip safeties, but there are safety issues with cocked and locked carry and handling. Many shooters have actually discharged it trying to slowly drop the hammer so that the pistol has a round in the chamber, but is not cocked. This is another reason why pistols such as the M9 found favor among the military and some law enforcement agencies. Still, despite the heavier recoil, the M1911 with its light trigger pull and 110-degree angle between butt and slide is ergonomically perfect and makes it easier to master.

FN Herstal SCAR 16

The SCAR was the assault rifle of choice for this mission and was featured in Todd Palin's first mission.

Paul Gosar, AZ-4 discusses record, plans on SarahNET Radio

This week on The Palin Radio Update with Kevin Scholla: While the wind blows in Tampa from Isaac and from politicians, Sarah Palin is making a real difference! Arizona heads to the polls on Tuesday and Governor Palin has backed three super candidates including Kevin's guest today, Dr. Paul Gosar! Congressman Gosar talks about his background as a dentist, his plans for getting people back to work, Fast and Furious, immigration, and much more. Plus Governor Palin gets set to campaign for Kirk Adams on Monday and get out the vote for Gosar, Adams, and Jeff Flake. Don't miss this bonus edition of The Palin Update only on SarahNET Radio! Tune in anytime ON DEMAND!

Gov. Palin's AZ Candidates, and Incumbent Endorsements

Gov. Palin had endorsed Paul Gosar for AZ-4 in 2010 and re-endorsed him for 2012. He is one of three candidates she has endorsed for 2012 and their primaries are all August 28. Scholla had interviewed Kirk Adams and Jeff Flake on prior shows. See: SarahNET Radio Interviews Kirk Adams, AZ-5 on Bold Leadership and SarahNET Radio Interviews Palin-Endorsed Jeff Flake for US Senate, AZ.

Scholla said he finds Gov. Palin's endorsements of incumbents most impressive because they're a statement that the candidate has "a body of work" worthy of support "and that we need more of it."

Small Business Owners Know How to Balance Budgets

Gosar said he is thrilled to receive Gov. Palin's re-endorsement and that "in Arizona, there are two types of politicians: show ponies and work horses." He is a dentist by trade and said his work in that field was very good preparation for being a Representative. Dentistry is a high-overhead business in which the practitioner must provide high-quality care, efficiently, and with good customer service, he said. ObamaCare does affect dentists as well, not just MDs, and Gosar said the legislation is not patient-friendly. As a dentist, Gosar is a small business owner.

"One of the things we have said in our first term in office, 'as a business owner what's wrong with making a profit?' You have to make a profit in order to keep your doors open. Making a profit also shows that you have good customer service skills and that you have a skill that [your customers] really want and need," Gosar said.

On Fast and Furious...

Gosar has been aggressively pursuing a fact-finding mission on the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal. He said Fast and Furious was "an egregious attempt on our Second Amendment rights," and "it happened right in my backyard." He also called it "part of the full frontal attack the administration has had on Arizona." He said 1,400 guns remain unaccounted for. Gosar predicts they will be found at crime scenes, particularly in Arizona and the Southwest. He said that Fast and Furious must never happen again and those involved must be held accountable for it.

On Illegal Immigration...

Gosar has been fighting the unconstitutional DREAM Act, and said Congress, not the President should be setting and enforcing immigration policy. Arizona has been at the forefront and the front lines on the battles involving securing the border and stopping illegal immigration. During his term, Gosar has been working to get funding for securing the border.

Gosar's Respect and Admiration of Gov. Palin

Scholla asked, "you have great respect for Gov. Palin, don't you?"

"Absolutely. I think what she has done - is pure patriotic - in getting this country back - and we need more people like Gov. Palin, who are not afraid to put herself in harm's way, based on where this country is heading and making sure that we turn it around."

Scholla asked what Gov. Palin's success in endorsing Gosar, Flake, and Adams would mean for change in Washington, D.C.

"Arizona is a very pivotal state," Gosar said. The state had been redistricted and "having five seats available for the Democrats to take is not what we expected, and so her throwing her weight, and her notoriety, and her skillset behind folks here in Arizona means a lot to us. It is one of the battlegrounds." Gosar said, that Nancy Pelosi must not again become Speaker of the House. He said Arizona will be pivotal in taking the Senate and in making sure Obama is not re-elected.

Why Undecided Voters Should Vote for Gosar

Scholla asked Gosar to "speak to the undecided voters" and tell them why they should vote for him.

"I'm one of those folks who have been very principled and understanding what people needed and have it done. What we've done is work together as a team. So many times, we do things as individuals, and we don't get a lot accomplished. We were able to accomplish a lot based on what our constituency needs, getting people back to work in our state, and getting philosophical changes taken care of and done. We've got a proven track record of accomplishments, because we work with people, and we've got a proven track record of very fiscally conservative [actions] and getting things done. And people really see the benefit. They want to gravitate around somebody who really includes them, and makes them believe in winning," Gosar said.

"You know, one of the things Gov. Palin is known for, and one of the reasons she has such a following is her honesty. People believe she speaks from the heart and says what she really believes. Perhaps an endorsement from her in a way is saying, 'you know what? Dr. Paul Gosar same way. You can believe what this man is saying.' And that's something that unfortunately, we don't see so much from politicians," Scholla said.

Gov. Palin and Straight Talk

"Straight-talking - that's what you love so much about Gov. Palin. She means what she says and she says what she means. And I think that's a breath of fresh air. And that's what we've come to the table with. Saying, 'you know, I'm not pretty. I'm not great at how I look at things, but boy I'll tell you what: we get things done. And that's what counts in a winner.' I think that's what Gov. Palin has given us the mantra for. 'Find out what's your expertise, tell us how you can get things done, and let's work together as a team to get this country back,'" Gosar said.

Gosar Invites Voters to Call Him Personally...

His website is http://www.gosar4congress.com. He also invited undecided voters to contact him directly on his cell phone at 928-853-6225. "We'd love to hear from you; love to hear your concerns and ideas. It's a two-way street. Those are the things we want to see, and if you like what you see from us, we would love for you tell your neighbors and friends, because we need everybody to work together to win in this election cycle," he said.

Scholla called on listeners to support Gosar, Flake and Adams, as well as American Grizzlies United candidates Ben Quayle and Gabriela Saucedo Mercer. See: Rep. Quayle (R-AZ) Talks SCOTUS ObamaCare Ruling on SarahNET Radio and SarahNET Radio: Gov. Palin fights liberal hypocrisy, double standards for the Saucedo Mercer interview.

Ted Yoho discusses legislative plans and more on SarahNET Radio

This week on The Palin Radio Update with Kevin Scholla: Dr. Ted Yoho is here! Just endorsed by Sarah Palin, this Christian conservative Republican is hoping to head to the House of Representatives. Yoho, a small business owner and family man is committed to taming a government gone wild. A veterinarian, Yoho is well equipped to go to Washington and deal with the weasels and worms that are undermining the Constitution. Yoho maps out his plans if elected, discusses Governor Palin, and even talks a little Tim Tebow. An interesting interview with a unique candidate. Also, Governor Palin endorses Arizona's Paul Gosar and Maryland's Dan Bongino, while calling for Todd Akin to fold 'em. Plus, Wayne Brady apologizes to the Palins and Todd Palin rolls on in Stars Earn Stripes. It's only on SarahNET Radio! Tune in anytime ON DEMAND!- http://www.sarahnetradio.net/.

Had Enough of Career Politicians

Ted Yoho is a large animal veterinarian who has also worked in a vegetable packing plant and on construction jobs. He's been married for 37 years and Florida has been his home for 35 years.

"Gov. Palin set a new tone in the country for politicians. You know, being the hockey mom who went to PTA, who became the Governor, who became the Vice Presidential candidate and she just really rocked the establishment." Yoho said he is running against a career politician and promises to term limit himself to eight years. He said that career politicians brought us the problems we have today. His campaign slogan is "Had Enough." He beat a 24-year incumbent in the primary.

Gov. Palin's Endorsement Excites Campaign, Constituents

Yoho said both his potential constituents and his campaign are excited about Gov. Palin's endorsement. "She's a new type of politician - not your entrenched politician - and we've had a lot of excitement around our campaign." He lost track of the number of hits on the campaign website, but said "it's grown exponentially."

Scholla asked Yoho about press reports regarding Speaker of the House John Boehner contacting him. Boehner left Yoho a voice mail message, because Yoho was not available to take the call, and he said he was pleasantly surprised to hear from the Speaker.

Scholla asked Yoho how he was able to beat the incumbent, since some other candidates simply could not beat the establishment's connections and money. Yoho attributed his primary win to a strong grassroots effort, a clear mission statement, and "plan the work and work the plan." His one paid employee - the campaign manager - was able to amass an army of passionate volunteers and interns to help bring victory home.

Election About Economy, Jobs, Return to Core Values

Scholla asked Yoho if he planned on addressing any animal issues if elected. Yoho said, "this election is more about stopping socialism than a lot of the social issues. I know those are very important, but to talk about some of those issues when we've got $16 trillion in debt and high employment for the period of time that we've had it - would be like two guys arguing on the Titanic about paying a bar bill." He continued, "our ship is sinking and we've got to save our ship." Yoho said that the number of animal neglect cases has increased because of government policies and the bad economy. "People have been just giving their horses away, or leaving tied to a telephone pole on the side of the road."

Yoho said this election is about the economy, jobs, and returning our country back to its core values. He regards the actions of the Obama administration as "smoke and mirrors" to distract from the real issues.

On Stem Cell Research...

Regarding stem cell research, a subject that Yoho was misrepresented in, he said that he has a strong background in biology and science and is also a Christian conservative who has no doubt that life begins at conception. But, he "understands the value of stem cell research" and that "you can get stem cells from so many different areas," such as the placenta, the umbilical cord and even from an adult patient by reprogramming fibroblasts. He said there is no need for embryonic stem cell research and his answer was in response to a poorly written questionnaire. "The question was like asking, 'do you still beat your dog?' There is no proper way to answer a question like that and not appear guilty." Yoho does believe in stem cell research, but not from embryonic sources.

Yoho said construction and agriculture are two principal job sectors in Florida and he is pleased to see an uptick in agricultural jobs and land purchases.

His website is http://www.tedyoho.com. He said any donations would be appreciated.

On Tebow...and Gov. Palin's Endorsement

Scholla said that his daughter is a Florida Gators fan and a Tebow fan. Yoho said he "Tebow'ed" the night he won the primary, and said he admires the football player for how "he's changed the course of how people look at religion" in our country, "and he's not afraid to talk about it." Tebow is a double-threat quarterback who graduated Florida University and went on to the Denver Broncos, then to the New York Jets. Yoho continued, "and then you get somebody like Gov. Palin. She speaks her conviction and she's changed the face of politics, and I admire both of them and I'm proud to be associated with the Florida Gators. That makes us part of the Gator Nation, and Gov. Palin - we're just really excited about her endorsement."

Scholla said both Tebow and Palin come from great families. He noted that Tebow had sent his daughter an autographed photo. In closing the interview, Scholla noted that Gov. Palin has endorsed doctors, dentists, ranchers, and now a veterinarian - "people from all walks of life - and this is what the founding fathers wanted - not just lawyers talking about their 16 degrees, but not having any common sense to talk about anything in this world."

I Forgive You, Wayne Brady

SarahPalinUSA: Paul Gosar for AZ-4...

Governor Palin today Tweeted:

SarahPalinUSA: Paul Gosar for AZ-4 Dr. Paul Gosar is not a career politician. He's a dentist, a conservative, a small business... http://t.co/dnf5D84t
The foregoing URL leads to a Facebook Status, which is reprinted here in its entirety:

Dr. Paul Gosar is not a career politician. He's a dentist, a conservative, a small business owner, and someone I was proud to endorse in 2010. His accomplishments as a freshman congressman are remarkable and a shining example of what hardworking public service is all about.

You won't find Paul playing endless rounds of golf or hobnobbing at D.C. cocktail parties. When Congress isn't in session, you'll find him with the people he represents. In the past 18 months, he's held over 24 town halls and put over 60,000 miles on his old car traveling his district. And when he is not listening to the people he works for, he is with his wife Maude and his three kids, probably pulling weeds in his yard as he thinks of ways to shrink government and bring about the reform we need in Washington to secure a prosperous and fiscally responsible America for our children.

As a freshman congressman, he didn't just bide his time or go along to get along. He got down to work. Arizona's largest newspaper reviewed Paul's legislative accomplishments and concluded that “Bottom line: when it comes to sponsored bills and amendments passed by the House of Representatives, Gosar has been among the most successful new members not only in Arizona's delegation, but also in the entire freshman class." He's fought hard to eliminate wasteful spending, sponsoring one bill after another to repeal wasteful programs and save the taxpayers' money. He co-sponsored and voted for “Cut, Cap, and Balance," and he took a tough vote to cut $2.1 trillion from the bloated federal budget, which is the largest nominal spending cut since World War II.

He's been a leader on looking for ways to cut spending, and he's also been a staunch fighter for the people of Arizona. Along with Congressman Darrell Issa, Paul has been laser-like in pursuing the truth about the “Operation Fast and Furious" scandal, and Paul is the sponsor of a resolution of no confidence in Attorney General Holder. He's also defended the interests of Arizonans in taking on the Obama administration's over-reaching EPA bureaucrats.

I think you can see why he has the support of so many Arizonans – from Governor Jan Brewer to Senator Jon Kyl. I was proud to endorse Paul Gosar two years ago, and I believe he more than deserves to return to Congress to continue his good work for Arizona's new 4th Congressional District. I hope you'll join me in supporting Paul and donating and volunteering for him. This is one conservative public servant you can be certain will be working hard for you and getting positive results.

SarahPalinUSA: Ted Yoho for FL-3...

Governor Palin today Tweeted:

SarahPalinUSA: Ted Yoho for FL-3 Dr. Ted Yoho isn’t afraid of hard work. To put himself through college and veterinary school... http://t.co/XwG1LWw9
The foregoing URL leads to a Facebook Status, which is reprinted here in its entirety:

Dr. Ted Yoho isn’t afraid of hard work. To put himself through college and veterinary school he worked nights in a vegetable packing house and summers in construction. After graduating, he started and grew his own successful business. Yes, President Obama, Ted built that himself.

Tired of watching career politicians spend us into debt and tax us to death, Ted decided to run for Congress in Florida’s new 3rd Congressional District. No stranger to hard work, Ted took his conservative businessman’s perspective from town to town, county to county, and voter to voter asking them all the same thing: “Had enough?” The answer was clear. Ted’s victory in last week's primary sent the same message we are seeing all across the country: Yes, we have had enough. We’ve had enough of our elected officials going to Washington and forgetting about us. We’ve had enough of them mortgaging our children’s future to foreign debtors. We’ve had enough of Congress wasting our money on useless programs that enrich themselves or reward their cronies. We’ve had enough of high taxes. We’ve had enough of Obamacare’s threat of faceless government bureaucrats making life and death health care decisions for us. We’ve have enough of no job growth and government red tape that stifles our entrepreneurial spirit and any hope of long term prosperity.

Underdog candidates like Ted aren’t running because it’s easy, and they don’t plan on going to Washington to just “go along to get along.” No, these underdogs are running to fight for sudden and relentless reform and they know the hard work it will require to make it happen. If you’ve had enough and are ready for some real reform that puts government back on our side, please join me in supporting Dr. Ted Yoho for Congress in FL-3. Let’s send this commonsense businessman to D.C. to fight for us. He won’t forget who sent him there.

Bristol Palin today posted on Bristol's Blog:

Some liberal "scholars" published an article in a supposedly reputable journal suggesting that it should be just as permissible to kill a newborn baby as it is to kill an unborn child. What's next?
