Happy Birthday Gov. Palin: The Vertical Climb Begins

Now....on February 11, 1964, a Providential Journey began...

From a little girl who once fished shrimp and later tried to fly...

You became a Governor signing an accord with a foreign country...in the final seven months of your term, accomplishing more than seven New York State governors in 50 years could dream of...

Your birthday brings a new mountain to climb. Your next mountain will be like that day at Sweet Tooth Spire in the foothills of Mt. McKinley - a place where you confronted your darkest fears head on. Sharp, jagged rocks, sheer drops, and water-filled crevasses await. But....you will summit just like you did that day...

A week ago today, the torch was officially passed....The Speech reflecting on The Speech delivered in the year of your birth.

In 708 days, the world will know what a woman can do....

Pull...strain...breathe....7Gs...9Gs...a record-breaking 10Gs....full vertical achieved....up! up! up!

Revive, Renew, Restore....

Stately, prepared with precision - ready - locked and loaded.

We have your back.

Our vigil is posted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"...and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
-Esther, 4:14

Jedediah Bila: Gov Palin Will Get GOP Nod, Beat Obama

Gov. Palin will secure the GOP nomination for President and go on to beat Obama in the 2012 Presidential campaign, Jedediah Bila said last night on Sean Hannity's Great Americans Panel. "She has charisma, she has experience, she has all the things he doesn't have," Bila said. Interestingly One of the other panelists supports Mitt Romney but does not think he can beat Obama. Hannity said that the GOP has a "great slate of candidates" and predicted they would all be announcing within the next six weeks.

Gov. Palin on Freedom Watch: Must Know "Who's On First" in Egypt

We must know "who's on first" and be sure that those protesting for democracy in Egypt truly want it and will not use it to institute their own tyranny, Governor Palin said tonight in an interview with Judge Napolitano, host of Fox Business' Freedom Watch. Judge Napolitano asked Gov. Palin if we did right by giving the Mubarak administration $60 billion in aid over the past 30 years. She said, "well, aren't 30 years of standing on Mubarak's side and he essentially standing with America and on a lot of our issues and interests in terms of protecting allies and protecting some of America's interests - you know - it makes sense that we have a reciprocal relationship, but no it is not moral or ethical - it is unjust" to bribe foreign countries to "stand in line with our interests," Gov. Palin said. She said that we are seeing that play out now, as Mubarak and his associates have personally enriched themselves "so we wonder: 'where does that money end up?'" Gov. Palin said. Gov. Palin said that we need to assess the foreign aid we give and "pull back from countries where the money is not doing any good."

Old Guard GOP vs. Tea Party

Judge Napolitano said that the Republican Party is split between the Tea Party Conservatives in the House of Representatives who don't want the Patriot Act renewed and want to curtail the Obama administration's spending and the establishment types who want to keep the status quo. Gov. Palin said she stands with the Tea Party Americans. Their election was or should be a wake-up call to the establishment that we cannot spend more money than what we have, and that big government is the problem, not the solution.

4Chan: Rendezvous for Cyber Crime, & Mass Murder Plots

First 4Chan brought us David Kernell, who is serving time in a Kentucky federal pen for hacking into Gov. Palin's email accounts. Then the ISP was raided by the FBI for its involvement in Wikileaks operatives DDOS'ing SarahPAC, Conservatives4Palin, Organize4Palin, PalinTV, Tammy Bruce, Amazon, and MasterCard, among others. This should be sufficient proof that unchecked Palin Derangement Syndrome (PDS) fosters and suborns criminal activity. Today, The Smoking Gun reveals that a user of the PDS-afflicted ISP was allegedly hosting child pornography on its servers and plotting the mass murder of fellow students at a Michigan college. The FBI arrested Ali Saad, 19 for the alleged downloads and the murderous plot being hatched online. Apparently, his goal in life was to grab an AK-47 and in his words "'top the high score' amassed by Seung-Hui Cho, the Virginia Tech student who killed 32 people in April 2007." He also allegedly drew his "inspiration" from Columbine High School killers Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris. Saad allegedly wrote in a message using codes related to a 4Chan forum that he "planned to set up a laptop and broadcast the shooting live online via Stickam, the popular streaming video web site." "10:45 am, turn laptop to face 500+ students, pull out ak47 I got from gun show and unleash mayhem. Def going to beat cho. Thanks for help /b/ros. Be sure to tune in," the lunatic Saad wrote detailing his evil plot. From playing host to email hackers trying to influence a federal election and DDOS'ers working for an enemy who put our troops in danger, to being a repository for child pornography downloaded by a lunatic bent on mass murder, 4Chan truly does have quite the menagerie of clientele who use the ISP's servers as a rendezvous point. But, 4Chan realized that Saad's plan to "top the high scores" of previous mass murderers could turn to action and the ISP finally grew something remotely approaching a conscience. More likely, they were worried about their hides if Saad were to execute his plot. They cooperated with the FBI in providing information related to Saad's musings. You betcha...PDS being rooted in evil can only yield an evil outcome.

Gov. Palin: No Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Rips Santorum

The Muslim Brotherhood should have no place in Egypt's government, and the Obama administration has been remarkably absent on this issue, Governor Palin said at the conclusion of her TV interview with Sean Hannity last night. The former Alaska Governor and 2012 Presidential hopeful spoke about Obama's unsound economic policies during the first two segments. Both Hannity and Gov. Palin agree that the Muslim Brotherhood has the expressly stated goal of establishing an Islamic caliphate based on Shariah law. The Brotherhood beheads and assassinates those who don't buy into its seventh-century views which violate the most basic of womens' rights, human rights, freedom and democratic processes.

Obama passed on the opportunity to take a stand, she said and by punting "gives us great pause as to what the President stands for and stands with." She said - perhaps rhetorically - that Obama should have a steel spine and tell Americans what he thinks of the Muslim Brotherhood, its desires for Israel and the United States, and about Shariah law.

2012

On 2012 Gov. Palin said that she and all the other Presidential hopefuls are giving it prayerful consideration and consulting with their closest advisers and families. "I'm not going to put myself in a box and give a timeline," Gov. Palin said.

Rick Santorum's Comments

Gov. Palin's reaction to Santorum's sexist comments received the most attention. Santorum, a father of seven, was widely reported as saying that Gov. Palin is not attending CPAC because "she is the mother of all those kids." He also took a jab at her schedule, stating that she chose other events for "financial gain." Gov. Palin has declined CPAC's invitations in the three prior years. She has never attended the conference. She said that with people out of work, losing their homes, and with our country still engaged in a war we should not focus on pettiness.

In response to Santorum's sexist comment, Gov. Palin said:

“I think the reports were much worse than what he really said. I think some things maybe were really taken out of context. So I will not call him the knuckle dragging neanderthal that perhaps others would want to call him. I’ll let his wife call him that instead.”

Gov. Palin on Hannity: Obama's Economic Policies Unsound

Obama's poor poll numbers on economic issues are reflective of his unsound economic policies, Governor Palin said tonight in an interview with Sean Hannity on his TV show. The Obama administration plans to extend unemployment benefits, grant states a two-year interest-free loan, then significantly raise payroll taxes in 2014 to replenish the states' depleted coffers and repay the federal government.

Gov. Palin slammed Obama's redistribution of wealth policies as "ridiculous." She said the American Chamber of Commerce and Congress should not capitulate to these policies. Gov. Palin said real unemployment is close to 17% - that number accounting for people who fell off the unemployment insurance rolls, but who are still out of work.

Gov. Palin and Sean Hannity discussed how their dislike of Obama's policies does not equal hatred. "I think he's in over his head," Hannity said.

"I think he and those who surround him do not know how to run a business. They have not made payroll, they don't know what it is to balance budgets, because they're so used to spending other people's money and they're irresponsible in that arena....they're really getting the economy in a worse position than he claims he inherited. He - our President - is responsible for growing the largest chunk of debt in United States' history," Gov. Palin said.

Ed. Note: The interview continued on for at least one more segment, however, they have not posted as this goes to press. The subsequent segment(s) will be posted as a separate story when and if released.

SarahPAC's Birthday Fund-Raiser for Gov. Palin

Ed. Note: Please donate generously to SarahPAC between now and Gov. Palin's birthday. A special donation page has been created allowing donors to incorporate their birthday greetings within the submission form. US for Palin will be running a special 24-hour money bomb starting Friday, February 11, 2011 at midnight Eastern Standard Time. You may click any of the links in this post, the money bomb when published, and of course the SarahPAC graphic in the right-hand sidebar of US for Palin to donate.
Friends,

I'm writing today in hopes that you will take just one minute right now to help me plan a special surprise for Governor Sarah Palin in honor of her birthday on Friday by giving a gift to SarahPAC today. Your gift will be a welcome surprise on Sarah's birthday, especially in the wake of the increasingly vicious attacks from her enemies on the Left. For example, Hollywood writer Aaron Sorkin recently wrote a column denouncing Governor Palin as "deranged," a "witless bully," and a "phony pioneer girl." Talk-show host Oprah Winfrey said "the intelligence of the American public" will keep Sarah from ever being elected President. And MSNBC's Chris Matthews called her a "balloon head" on national TV. Just like Ronald Reagan before her, Governor Palin is despised by the Left because she freely admits her faith in God, is unabashedly proud of America, and fights to limit the long arm of the federal government when it comes to our freedoms and our families.
  • Sarah Palin is proud of America - not ashamed of our greatness.
  • She puts her trust in the U.S. Constitution - not in politicians.
  • She thinks you should get to choose your own doctor, what kind of car you drive, and what kind of light bulbs you'll use in your house - not government bureaucrats.
  • She's willing to fight the War on Terror - not surrender it to enemies abroad and Islamic radicals right here on our own soil who hate us.
  • And she understands that cutting taxes and repealing ObamaCare will do more to strengthen our economy than handing out billions in "bail-out" dollars to businesses and people who didn't earn it.
Frankly, Sarah Palin is a threat to liberals who make their living off of a bloated, out-of-control federal government. That's why they attack her. It's why they call her names. Why they want her to fail. And it's why I'm counting on you to give a gift to SarahPAC for Governor Palin today to let her know that you are still standing by her side in the face of these relentless attacks. Nothing is more important to Sarah right now than making sure SarahPAC has the funds it needs to help elect more common-sense conservatives in 2011, including candidates in critical state races, special elections, and run-offs. Three crucial governor races alone will make this a key year for conservatives. Can Sarah count on you to help her elect lawmakers who will obey the U.S. Constitution, not re-write it? If so, please send your best gift possible to help SarahPAC continue the conservative revolution we started in 2010. I want you to know how much I appreciate your taking the time to help me honor Governor Palin on her birthday this week. And more importantly, thank you for your patriotism and your willingness to step forward and help her support pro-Constitution candidates now when so much is at stake for our nation! Yours truly, Tim Crawford Treasurer, SarahPAC

Gov Palin Tells Fox Business: State Bailouts Add to Dangerous Debt

The federal government's proposed bailout of states hidden in a piece of legislation will only add to our dangerous debt burden, Governor Palin said last night in a telephone interview with Eric Bolling, Fox Business.

"Basically for years - and this is politically speaking - the states have essentially kept their under-funded pension debts and debt service obligations off the PR books, meaning those issues - they're not sexy and glamorous, and fun to campaign on and talk about for politicians - they're not cutting ribbons around them and holding press conferences, so the public has been unaware of this dire situation. And now things are coming home to roost....the states are so under water that they're tempted to declare bankruptcy," Gov. Palin said.

Gov Palin: Obama Should Move Center, Cut Deficit

Obama Should Move Center retrieved from PalinTV. Click image to open video in new tab or window.

Governor Palin last night said in an interview with Eric Bolling on Fox Business that Obama should move toward the center and cut deficit spending. She cited examples of governors, including herself who had vetoed such spending with the stimulus and whose vetoes were overridden by fellow Republicans. At the state level, she cited how her predecessor changed the state pension from a defined benefit package for new enrollees, and how the unions protested and led a recall effort. On Obama's statement that he is the same person he was when he took office and that he had no intention of moving away from his leftist ideology, Gov. Palin said that this was "the one time he should not have let a good crisis go to waste."

E! Online: Bristol Palin on Politics, Parenthood & More

Bristol Palin discussed her political aspirations, her new house and life in Maricopa, AZ, raising her son Tripp, and more with Guiliana Rancic in an E! Online exclusive that aired today at 1930 (7:30 PM) EST and re-airs later 2330 (11:30 PM). Gina Serpe provided a report accompanying the video clips, however, she repeated the shopworn "see Russia from my house" line that was actually uttered by Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live, not by Governor Palin.

Bristol said she would run for office if she saw something wrong that needed to be changed or fixed. When Rancic asked her if she would be willing to in spite of the scrutiny she would receive, in spite of her private life becoming public, Bristol said "yes." But, Bristol also said that such a path is several years away.

The interview focused principally on human interest subject matter related to Bristol. Viewers got a video tour of her Maricopa home, as Bristol discussed raising Tripp, and a new boyfriend in her life.

Bristol, who is Gov. Palin's eldest daughter was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, and finished the competition in third place. She is an advocate against teen pregnancy for the Candies Foundation, which released a public service announcement featuring her and "The Situation" promoting abstinence. Bristol also cut "Inside This World of Mine," with Static Cycle, an Alaskan rock band. Bristol established her Official Facebook Page on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 1442 (2:42 PM) EDT. As of this writing, she has over 47,000 Facebook friends.

A comprehensive dossier of Bristol's accomplishments can be found at US for Palin's dedicated Bristol page.

The Speech: History Repeats Itself

Ronald Reagan delivered his famous Time for Choosing speech, known simply as The Speech at the Republican National Convention, campaigning for Barry Goldwater in 1964. That was 47 years ago; three years shy of half a century. If we consider a generation to be 15 years, it was three generations ago. Providentially, Gov. Palin was a fetus and her parents were still living in Sandpoint, ID.

When Ronald Reagan delivered The Speech, he saw our country at a dangerous crossroads. We had started down the path of Lyndon Johnson's Great Society and limited wars. Many of the "Moscow Suburban" looking housing projects of the Johnson era blight cities across our nation, testimony to this failed policy. Would our nation choose the swamp of socialism or the stars of free markets? Nixon won the subsequent election and despite his propensity for taping things, he ended the VietNam War. Gerald Ford, of course finished out Nixon's term, which was followed by four years of malaise, misery, and a general sense of hopelessness under Carter. It would be sixteen years since The Speech that the nation would hear Reagan and elect him President.

There is one aspect of this repetition of history we want broken: that 16-year wait. We hope to see our Reagan - a woman who was just a tiny fetus when he spoke - inaugurated in 714 more days. The time has come today - to Revive, Renew, and Restore our nation to greatness, with a leader we can be proud of.

Watch the repetition of history. Watch The Speech and The Speech:

NY Times Lies About Gov. Palin's Photo Session

In Gov. Palin: “Our Time of Choosing…Glory or Shame”, my closing sentence was: "Following her speech, Gov. Palin graciously stayed for a photo line where each person present was photographed with her." Much to my consternation, when I woke up and went to check for updates from last night, I found that the New York Times - "the newspaper of record" - wrote that Gov. Palin "spoke and immediately left the building." Really? In what alternate universe does the New York Times reside?

I can understand how the Reno Gazette misquoted Gov. Palin's "Don't Retreat. Reload" statement last Saturday. Media were barred from that speech and the reporter on-site was desperately getting quotes second- and third-hand. Anyone who has played the child's game, "telephone/telegraph" understands fully how stories change when passed by word of mouth. The Gazette had otherwise told an accurate, and factual account and was actually rather positive toward Gov. Palin. Others used the misquote to build a false case, but that's a different conversation.

There is no "telephone/telegraph" excuse in the case of the New York Times coverage of Gov. Palin's Reagan 100 keynote speech. There is no excuse at all. This speech had media present. It was broadcast on CSPAN and by Young America's Foundation. All the reporter had to do is the same thing I did: watch the video, listen, take notes, write an accurate, factual story, and file the dispatch. I was able to do this, while taking at least 15 dynamic frame grabs from the video. Though I have the journalism degree, my life took a different path. I'm a LAN Infrastructure Project Manager by trade. My reportorial and other writing work is by avocation. Still, I know how to watch, listen, and take accurate notes.

Since US for Palin is in the business of supporting Gov. Palin, my closing sentence had the word "graciously" in it. The New York Times could have used the same sentence minus "graciously" and still have gotten the story right. Getting the story right is a fundamental obligation, whether you love the subject of the story or detest it. If the New York Times has a problem with Gov. Palin or her speech, that's what their editorial page is for.

Gov. Palin: "Our Time of Choosing...Glory or Shame"

We face the same problems today as when Ronald Reagan delivered his Time of Choosing speech 47 years ago, Governor Palin said tonight in her keynote address to the Young America's Foundation Reagan 100 celebration. "This is our time of choosing....how we answer will be our glory or our shame." In Reagan's Time of Choosing speech, most often referred to as "The Speech," he said we faced a choice: socialism or free markets..."the swamp or the stars."

"When government picks winners and losers, we get stuck with the losers," Gov. Palin said.

She recounted the ascent of Ronald Reagan. "In 1976, conservatives heard him. In 1980, the nation heard him. In 1984, the world listened."

Gov. Palin summarized several of the core principles of Reagan Conservatism. She spoke about the need to re-establish ourselves as a creditor and manufacturing nation, not simply a service economy. She emphasized that an "all-of-the-above" approach to domestic energy production is critical to national security and prosperity. She re-affirmed that we should foster a culture that values innocent life, that we are an exceptional nation, and that our military is a force for good in the world.

Following her speech, Gov. Palin graciously stayed for a photo line where each person present was photographed with her.
