The Speech: A Time for choosing -- http://thespeechatimeforchoosing.blogspot.com
God bless Joe Biden, he truly is the gift that keeps on giving!
Chuck Graham, of course, is in a wheelchair!
Well,
our Vice President has stepped in it again. Up in NY-23 today, while
campaigning for democrat/communist candidate Bill Owens in front of a reportedly sparse crowd, Biden took a swing at Rush Limbaugh (naturally) and Sarah Palin He went at Sarah especially on energy:
"The
fact of the matter is, Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy is
‘drill, baby, drill,’" said Biden. "It’s a lot more complicated, Sarah!"
Wow,
just wow. You have to wonder is Biden really this dumb? (I think we
know the answer here) Or, does he think the typical democrat/communist
voter is this dumb? (I think we know the answer to this as well, or Joe
would still be a Senator!)
Now
obviously, Sarah Palin, who was the Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas
Conservation Commission, the very powerful regulatory body that
regulates oil, natural gas, and mining in Alaska knows a thing or two
about energy. For those that don’t know, as Governor, Sarah was also
the Chairman of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission as well
as the Natural Resources chair in the National Governors Association.
Of all of the things Sarah Palin can talk about with great authority,
energy is certainly at or very near the very top.
So with that in mind, Sarah has this for Joe Biden, via Facebook:
Response to Vice President Biden's Comments Today About My Position On Energy Independence
Today at 12:12pm
As
the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above
approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my
alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska
reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden
administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal
of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top
priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.
The
vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes
all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As
Ann Coulter pointed out, "Biden cast one of only five votes against the
pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil,
supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of
thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S.
economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about
the same amount."
This nonsensical opposition to American
domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the
Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in
Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This
election is about American security and American jobs.
There’s
one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in
Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress:
Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!
- Sarah Palin
Nice that Sarah got in the shot about Brazil!
As
you know, just days after the self proclaimed "owner of the democrat
party" Nazi collaborator, and criminal currency speculator, George
Soros, bought controlling interest in Brazilian oil company Petrobas, Barack Obama "loaned" the oil giant $10 billion hard earned tax payer greenbacks!
When
it comes to energy independence, Sarah Palin is very much someone who
is an "all of the above approach" leader. Sarah has consistently
advocated clean renewable energy, and put Alaska on a path to get 50
percent of it’s energy through renewables, exactly double the goal
Barack Obama set for America as a whole!
Sarah
is a big advocate of solar and wind, but understands we must also have
nuclear as well as clean coal, natural gas, and yes, oil. No matter
what "magic bullet" research may come up with, conventional sources of
energy will be with us for generations to come.
Sarah
Palin’s signature achievement as Governor of Alaska was AGIA which has
led to the natural gas line that will be built from Alaska to the lower
48. Natural gas, quite simply, is the cleanest burning fuel there is.
It’s not zero emissions, there is no such thing, but it’s clean enough
that industries use CNG (compressed natural gas) powered machinery,
such as fork lifts, indoors and in enclosed spaces, because of such low
emissions.
This
pipline, as it is being built, will be the largest construction project
in North American history costing around $40 billion.
Contrast
this with the real and true party of NO(!), the democrat/communist
party of Joe Biden and Barack Obama. The democrat/communist party is
against pretty much all forms of energy.
Oil and natural gas? Oh no, they’re "evil!"
Coal? Are you kidding? It’s the work of the Devil!
What about all of the "green energy" the party of NO(!) Is always carping about?
Nope,
they don’t like it either! They have serious "not in my backyard
syndrome." And, when that doesn’t work, they come up with some
environmental concern. The windmills aren’t very friendly to birds when
the fly into them, and the enviro-nuts are going insane over some
desert rat in the Mojave now that giant solar farms are proposed.
In
other words, the party of NO(!) Has absolutely no real solutions. I’m
shocked! Energy is the lifeblood of our society, the lifeblood of our
economy. The way the democrat/communists act, you’d think the
democrat/communists were deliberately trying to destroy America.
For
America to get back on the road to prosperity, we must have serious
energy independence. We must "drill baby drill" for oil and natural
gas, but we also must use our abundant supplies of coal, as well as
build more nuclear plants and continue to develop alternatives. We send
between $700 billion and $1 trillion a year overseas purchasing crude
oil. Think of what that would do for our economy if that all stayed
here in America!
This is
yet another reason we need to follow Sarah Palin’s lead and help elect
serious common sense Conservatives, like Doug Hoffman, nation wide! No
more pale pastels, we need bold colors, and bold leaders!
BTW,
as a bonus, who could forget this classic bit of "brilliance" from Joe
Biden! I mean this sums up the guy’s intellect perfectly!
The video is long-ish, but worth it. You Tube has managed to scrub all of the others that just have the "best part."
As
a set up, after Sarah mopped the floor with Biden at their debate,
Perky Katie Couric did her part for the team by "helping" with damage
control. It didn’t really help!
While
riding on a train, Biden’s favorite form of transportation, Couric
interviewed Biden at length. At one point, Biden gives us all a revised
history lesson:
"When
the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and
didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'look, here's
what happened."
One
problem with "Uncle Joe’s" scenario here. When the stock market crashed
in 1929, Herbert Hoover was President, having taken office in March of
that year. (Inaugurals used to take place in March, rather than
January) Franklin Roosevelt was still the Governor of New York, and
didn’t take the Oath of Office, as President of the United States,
until March of 1933.
Television,
which was in it’s experimental infancy in 1929, was not around. The
first commercial television license wasn’t granted until 1941, and it
would be the 1950's before televisions became a popular "must have"
appliance. FDR, however, was the first President to appear on TV. It
was during an experiment in 1939, ten years after the stock market
crash.
For her part,
Couric just sits and smiles, never correcting Mr Gaffetastic. If only
she would have had one of the guys that John McCain passed over as his
running mate write this interview for her!
What’s
that you say? You didn’t know? Remember the Sarah Palin interview the
"Perky One" did? Well, she’s not much brighter than Biden, so she had
help. Sam Nunn, who was passed over for Biden as Obama’s VP choice, coached Couric extensively
before she interviewed Sarah. He came up with a series of "gotcha"
questions for Katie to ask, including: "What newspapers do you read?"
Exit
question, who do you really trust on energy, Joe Biden and the party of
NO(!) Or Sarah Palin who has extensive energy industry experience?
The
folks in Upstate New York may have the answer! As I linked to above,
Biden spoke his nonsense to a "crowd" of 250 people, 50 of those being
from the media. When Sarah was in Upstate New York earlier in the year,
she drew 20,000.
