We are day five into this webathon and you have already achieved 20% of our goal to retire $500,000 in legal bills that Governor Palin is held personally responsible for, even though they were incurred in the course of serving you. As of midnight, you helped us raise $100,115. But, we are far short of our $500,000 goal. We need you to keep the momentum going and give that extra push.
Governor Palin was the target of 15 ethics complaints. Every last one of them has been resolved in her favor, mostly upon simple review of the law. These complaints were filed by people who either harbored some kind grudge, or had political motivations -- particularly financial and political connections that run deep within the Democratic Party and the Obama administration.
Abuse of an ethics complaint process with the intent of discrediting and bankrupting an elected official sends a very dangerous precedent that can have negative repercussions upon YOU as a constituent. If good people are discouraged from answering the call to serve -- we all suffer. Even if you are far removed from Alaska, this precedent is very dangerous to YOU and must be stopped.
Governor Palin is now left with $399,885 in legal bills. Your donations are helping you defray these costs and make her whole. You will be part of helping to right a tremendous wrong and stopping this dangerous trend. Even if you don't particularly agree with Governor Palin's positions on whatever issues, you are urged to put politics aside and do this for yourself to ensure that good people will answer the call to serve without fear of being bankrupted by political enemies in the course of performing their service.
Those of you who love and support Governor Palin -- she needs her wing men and women now! We never abandon our wingmen or women or leave them exposed to enemy fire. Lock and load your credit or debit card and donate as much as you can up to the legal maximum to this noble cause. Even as little as $10 is greatly appreciated. For the cost of two Mocha lattes, you can help reverse a gross injustice and the dangerous practice of "politics of personal destruction."

Human Networking
Many people in our lives do not have computers or still don't feel comfortable doing business on the Internet or don't want to deal with credit or debit cards. Some may be older individuals; others just may have no interest in computers and electronic gadgets. But, some of these people may be among Governor Palin's supporters...and you may know several of them.
Though this is a webathon, we should not discount the importance of human networking -- speaking to friends and family (not in the electronic social networking sense of the term, but in the actual sense) in person and on the phone -- in this fund-raising effort. You'd be surprised at how much you can raise off the computer.
